This week I started the class with an ICT class on the poem, From A Railway Carriage.The students enjoyed the class and they understood the idea of the poem with the help of the images and slides. On August 20 , we conducted the school based activity; entitled as Vegetable Gardening and Green Rally.The students participated well and enjoyed doing the activity. With the help of substitution classes I was able to finish the poem, A Railway Carriage and then I started the new poem A Marvellous Travel.It was an ICT_ enabled class and the students enjoyed the class well.

 Then towards the end of the week I taught the students adverbs using the Concept Attainment Model..I conducted the achievement test on 22 August.

SCHOOL- BASED ACTIVITY

SCHOOL- BASED ACTIVITY CONDUCTED IN MMRHSS SCHOOL 

As a part of our third semester B.Ed. school internship program , we the teacher trainees in MMRHSS school conducted a school- based activity involving the students of our classes 7A 7B, 7C. The activity was titled as GREEN RALLY AND VEGETABLE GARDENING. The students actively enjoyed and participated in the activity.

This week started with holidays.On 13 and 14 August the school authorities declared holiday due to flood in the school premises.August 15 was Independence day and there was no duty for us in the school.The school reopened on August 16.This week my friends came to evaluate my class. I finished teaching the students A Shipwrecked Sailor and gave them the notes of the lesson.

This week I continued teaching the students the prose chapter, A Shipwrecked Sailor.I took one class on adjectives in the Direct Instruction Model. This week, we asked the permission of the principal of the school to conduct the school based activity, which we selected the topic as Vegetable Gardening and Green Rally.The principal granted us the permission to conduct the program and the we informed the students of class 8A, 8B and 8C to prepare placards for the green rally to bring the seeds and grow bag. We gave the students one week for bringing all necessary things needed for conducting the program. August 9 was a holiday proclaimed by the collector, due to flood.

Sixth Week of First Phase of Teaching Practice

This week I continued with the chapter, A Shipwrecked Sailor. On the first of August we conducted the field study in the school. We identified that the girl students of the school were not provided with the facility in the toilets to maintain proper menstrual hygiene, so we decided to give the students an awareness about Menstrual Hygiene to the students of standard VIII.We prepared a PowerPoint presentation of the topic with videos and divided the topic among us three and each of us dealt with each topics. I dealt with the topic,  Menstruation and  Menstrual Hygiene Shifna dealt with the topic Menstrual Nutrition and Sharanya dealt with the topic Menstrual Diseases. We selected the girl students of eighth standard of the school for the program. At the end of the week I taught them the rest of the chapter, A Shipwrecked Sailor.This week my second optional observation was also over.
