Fourth Week of Second Phase of Teaching Practice

This week I taught the students the rest of the portion of the story, The Bear Story. I was only able to get limited class this week as I was absent for two days due to illness.There was also revision classes  going in the school, for the Christmas exam and so we have to give some classes to our concern teachers for them to give revision to the students.This week my optional observation was also over.

This week I continued teaching the students the story, The Bear Story.With the help of flash cards I introduced to them the new words .The students were interested to learn the new words in the story.

We the trainees got lots of substitution works in this week and we were given extra duties in almost all the classes.

On November 20 it was half day for the school, as the school decided to disperse at 11:45 due to educational strike.But we the trainees were compelled to sit till 2:00 pm.

This week I finished teaching the students the poem, Meadow Surprises and I started teaching them a new chapter, The Bear Story. It was an ICT enabled class and I taught the students using power point presentation and slide. The students enjoyed the class.It was easy for them to understand the new words with the help of pictures.
On November 15, it was half day for the school due to Vettukad church festival.

First Week of Second Phase of Teaching Practice

Today our second phase of teaching practice started.We were five students who got the opportunity to teach in Christ Nagar Senior Secondary School, Thiruvallam. Three of us were from English optional(Meenu C Nair, Anciya and Ann Bruno Netto) and the other two trainees were from the physical Science optional(Ajishma Eugene, Simi. A).The class allotted for me was 7B. My concern teacher in the school was Ms. Shabna and she gave me a poem and two short stories to teach.

This week I started teaching them the poem, Meadow Surprises. The students were very loving and they listened me obediently but during the activity section I felt it difficult to manage the students.
